I just recently took delivery of a 2020 F-150 Shelby in black.  This is my second one, the first being a 2016 in the magnetic grey.  Anyway, I noticed that some of the stripes in the front were bubbling up, I called Shelby (Tuscany) and they have instructed me to take it to a body shop of my choice and they would cover all the repairs under warranty.  Park that for a minute.

I am not a huge fan of the tonneau covers.  Yes they look nice, but render the bed of the truck for all practical purposes useless.  So I have been toying with the idea of replacing that with a Diamondback cover (I have had Diamondbacks on three other trucks and love them).  If I went the Diamondback route then I would also get rid of the Bed Rug and Line-X the back.  This got me thinking; if I take the tonneau cover off and the stripes on the cover with it, about just removing all of the stripes.  I'm well aware that the striping is part of the Shelby brand, but honestly I've never been a huge fan of stripes on cars/trucks.

I guess the question is, does removing the stripes alter the value in any significant way?  Has anyone done this on a Shelby truck?  I've seen it done on some of the Mustangs and really liked the look but couldn't find a single instance online with the stripes deleted off an F-150.  Hs anyone replaced their tonneau cover?  Bed Rug with Line-X?  Is even considering these things blasphemy?  All comments welcomed.
