You have to manually surround the link with the url tags [ then url then ], followed by [ then /url then ] (You can't type them because the html parser well, parses them...

I'll be the first to admit my computer skills are sorely lacking..........thank you for your instructions above, but what the ---- is [ then url then]??  If it's something I can do to the above link to make it respond like a link should, be happy to change it.  I do realize you can't simply type a link. This was copied at the SAAC site and pasted here. What you see is how this site displays the link.

Adding links is built into the text editor.  

Its the paperclip icon.

Just select the text you want to link. then click the icon.
