Interesting sig pics. Not liking photobucket. Nice Show pics.

 

Looks like a lot of us are sharing the same sig pics these days......I never really liked Photobucket either. Any suggestions for an alternative?

In the long term, it won't matter. As the bandwidth shifts from Photobucket to the others, they will turn in kind to charging (note 1). It's all about money. I'm not going to move several terabytes of photos from photobucket. Let them disappear. Unlike some, I have kept all of my photos locally. I never uploaded anything but low resolution to photobucket, mostly for posting to forums, so if they go away, I guess they do. I'm not going to pay $400/year (and it will go up, or maybe go away, but my guess is up) for the enjoyment of others. So if you want pics of CSX2000 and the shelby american collection and all of the Colorado car shows, the Barrett Jackson auctions, Shelby American Vegas visits, etc. get them now while the getting is good.

(Note 1): Don't think for an instant that the "rolling charging" doesn't happen. A little over a year ago the MGM group announced they would start charging for parking in their garages at the casinos on the strip. They gave us from mid 2016 to the end of 2016 for locals, and then started charging for everyone. It started at the MGM "corner" - MGM Grand, NY, NY, and Luxor. Then spread to the other MGM properties, south to the Mandalay Bay (expect to pay parking at Barrett Jackson) all the way north, and then the others started. Now there are only a few free parking hotels on the strip and they are expected to collapse before years end. The same will happen with photo hosting sites. It won't be worth the effort chasing the "free lunch". It will become who charges the least. For me, I don't care any more, I don't have the energy to do the chase, and noone will pay after I die anyway, so I'll just give up chasing the carrot.
