Yeah the tear drop hood was functional and cool back in the 60s. Nice pick there Mongoose. Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there. :clapping:

I guess you could say this resin C8 model was a fathers gift to myself. Pictures are a bit blurry because I had to resize from my iPad.

The pictures look pretty good to me, but you see it in person so you know best on the quality of them.   Hey bud, from what I can tell are those Matt black stripes on it and is that a factory option, just wondering?            Pretty cool Fathers day gift to yourself..

Been a few days since we`ve had any posts here (it strangely got relocated all the way down at the bottom). Ford Performance posted up this article on fellow member Scott Moen. Check it out...

Hey Falcon, thanks for the post on Scotts €œAwesome Collection€ again, if I remember right, you posted his huge collection a while back too and it was already €œAwesome€ at that time. His collection makes most of ours look like Cracker Jacks for a comparison in size.  His wife must be a lover of Mustangs and a saint too, if you know what I mean!

Hey Falcon, I have a heads-up for ya, being you like Mustang diecasts and other stuff.  How about a 1/12th scale resin model of the 2020 Shelby GT500 in Race Red w/ white stripes or Ford Blue w/ White stripes and its offered for $299.99.   Its by GT Spirits with If I remember right 300 copies for the U.S.market and it was listed in my latest California Car Cover Magazine, just in case your interested bud!

Thanks for the heads up. I will look at it. One of the companys that make the larger scale resin had a `68 Bullitt at the MCACN show and it was stunning to see. They also do an `18 Bullitt as well. I`ve got a couple of their Ford GTs and I haven`t been disappointed with them.

Hey Falcon, your more than welcome bud!  Yes, Ive heard from mach1 1970 who has some Resin models that theyre pretty cool and well done.  I dont have any resin models at this time, nor do I really have any room, especially for those very cool 1/12th scale models.  Good luck on your quest to find the model of your dreams, later bud!

P.S.  I do have some pretty cool 1/18th Exoto diecast GT-40s and Daytonas and also some very cool Corvette Grand sports too which are all very highly detailed.

Yes,Hot Wheels has some pretty cool sets out there and Will should like that one, I sure youll educate him on all you know about the €œBOSS€ and its history.   Keep up the good work on making him a real true car kid!  Looks like the grandkids are really enjoying themselves and Im sure all the rest of the family is too.  Not much of anything new or exciting happening here, so stay safe and have fun with your family.  My grandson Mason and his family are coming over for swimming this weekend and hes excited because he wants to go down the pool slide alot and the weather will be in the upper 80s and possibly even 90s so the pool should be pretty warm.       Talk at ya later bud!

Hey €œRiley€!!!  :hysterical:Yes, Hot Wheels is producing some pretty cool stuff lately from back in the sixties and Im really liking a lot of it like the one you have pictured, but I have to be very picky on what I buy because I already have way more than I need, ya right!!         The temp here on the 4th is suppose to be at least 92 degrees, so I guess its a very good time to be in a pool, Hot and Humid....   :drop:      Keep having fun with the grandkids and enjoy the rest of your vacation, later €œMr. Riley€!!!    :hysterical2:

Hey BB, thanks for sharing that great video on restoring that Nylint hot rod roadster.  Lots of work involved, but a great job on its restoration, but it does involve some cost on having the special equipment and supplies to get the job done, but very cool to watch.    Ive been pretty lucky to find some very well done and original too 50s style Tonka Fire trucks with-out having to do full-out restorations. All they really needed was some polishing and wax to make them shine again.   That restoration of that roadster is more than I want to take on, but thanks for sharing it for all us to see.        One mans junk is another mans gold!

It's not a die-cast, but I was able to pick up a AMT '64 1/2 Mustang Hardtop 1/16 scale model last week to make a mini-me. Just have to figure out what color paint is equal to Guardsman Blue, and need to find some styled steel wheels, and a center console (changing from a stick to auto). Would be perfect for 3D printing if I knew someone that did that.
