LAS VEGAS – May 29th, 2020 – – Good News! We are again welcoming the public in our Las Vegas location starting June 1st.
Since Shelby first began responding and adapting to COVID 19 earlier this year, care has driven our decision making. This includes care for our team members, our customers and our community.
That meant we had to take an unprecedented step to close our retail store and Shelby Heritage Center for a short time. This was done to protect the health and well being of everyone connected to Shelby.
We are now able to reopen the doors of our Las Vegas facility. To do so, we looked at available data and guidance from national and local health officials. We did not rush into this decision and reopening means that you’ll find the same passionate, dedicated team that was here before we temporarily closed.
We wanted to share insights about the significant steps we’re taking to keep everyone who visits safe, and the ways in which our facility will be a little different. For one thing, you'll find yourself with plenty of space. We're focused on limiting occupancy and giving everybody lots of room.
We’re also taking these important additional steps:
- Face coverings will be required for all of our team members.
- Facemasks will be encouraged but not mandated for customers; a Shelby branded one is available for purchase.
- Hand sanitizers will be available at the facility.
- Throughout the day, we're conducting enhanced cleanings that place special emphasis on all surfaces, display products and high touch areas.
We also modified the facility hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30am-5:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Sunday: CLOSED
For the time being, we have revised our tour program:
- One free tour is available daily at 10:30am on Monday through Saturday.
The factory will be in full production on Monday through Thursday, so you can watch new Shelby vehicles being manufactured. Beginning June 4, “Cars & Coffee” will once again gather on Saturday mornings in the facility parking lot from 7:00am - 10:00am.
The response to COVID 19 is still ongoing and we recognize that the road back may have some bumps. But whatever challenges lie ahead, we will remain committed to the health and well-being of everyone in the Shelby community.
