Prototype Barrett-Jackson Edition Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor Truck to be Auctioned for Charity in Scottsdale

LAS VEGAS - January 14, 2025– A one-of-one Barrett-Jackson Editon Shelby Raptor R with 900+ horsepower built by Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK) will be auctioned with No Reserve to benefit charity by Barrett-Jackson, “The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions”. Designed in collaboration between Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson and Shelby American, the truck carries a prototype Shelby serial number. One hundred percent of the hammer price of the super truck will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation and African Parks Foundation Of America when the V8 Shelby Raptor R Barrett-Jackson edition truck crosses the block on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. MST.

“Barrett-Jackson and Shelby have an incredible history together,” said Aaron Shelby, co-President of the Carroll Shelby Foundation and Board Member of Carroll Shelby International. “My grandfather enjoyed the annual January Scottsdale event so much that he chose to celebrate his birthday there many times. We've auctioned several vehicles to benefit charity at Barrett Jackson and Shelby American even collaborated on the Barrett-Jackson limited edition Shelby GT in 2008. Building and auctioning a one-off Barrett-Jackson edition vehicle for charity is a natural evolution or our shared heritage.”

The Shelby Raptor R edition truck was introduced at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale last year. Shelby American worked closely with partners like Fox, Ford Performance, Borla and Whipple to create a truck that blends unmatched power, cutting-edge suspension, rugged design and modern amenities.

“Carroll Shelby was one of my dearest friends,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “I was a big fan of the Shelby Mustangs and Cobras growing up, so it was the chance of a lifetime to collaborate with him on our limited edition car in 2008. I'm so honored to work with the Shelby American team on this one-off Barrett-Jackson edition Shelby Raptor R that will benefit two charities that I deeply support. I look forward to this special truck crossing the block in honor of Carroll and two organizations that are making such a positive impact on the world.”

Under the hood of the Shelby Raptor R Barrett-Jackson Edition is a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 delivering an optional 900+ horsepower, making it Shelby's most powerful performance truck to date. Paired with an advanced suspension system featuring the Shelby by BDS lift and 18-inch flow forged wheels wrapped in 37-inch premium mud terrain tires, the Baja Raptor is primed to conquer any terrain.

“Carroll loved V8 powered muscle trucks and the Shelby Raptor R has all the attributes that he wanted in a Shelby vehicle,” said Gary Patterson, president of Shelby American. “Leveraging the capabilities of the Ford Raptor, our V8 powered R has more power, refinement, technology and handling capabilities. The Shelby Raptor R redefines the boundaries of off-road excellence.”

Beyond its formidable performance, the truck exudes functionality and style from every angle. Its exterior features include a new hood with intake and extraction vents, power running boards with rock guards and entry lights, and a custom grille insert with LED lights. Inside, the luxurious yet functional interior boasts Shelby full leather seats with red accents, billet racing pedals, and serialized dash and engine plaques.

“This particular truck has special Barrett-Jackson logos and design elements, making it the only one of its kind,” said Vince LaViolette, Shelby American Vice President of Operations and Chief Designer. “We modified the stripes and badges with Barrett-Jackson logos, much as we did for the 2008 Shelby GT. Inside, the Barrett-Jackson and Shelby theme continues across the leather seats, dashboard and floor mats. The truck is so unique that it has a prototype Shelby Serial number, offering more collectability.”

With the generous donation of the base Ford Raptor R by Fox, all of the hammer price will benefit the Carroll Shelby Foundation and African Parks Foundation of America.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation (CSF) was created by legendary racer and automotive manufacturer Carroll Shelby. CSF is dedicated to providing medical assistance for those in need, including children, educational opportunities for young people through automotive and other training programs and benefitting the Shelby Automotive Museum.

“We are deeply honored to be a beneficiary of this remarkable initiative by Barrett-Jackson and Shelby American,” said Liam T. Dall, Executive Director of African Parks Foundation of America. “The funds raised through the auction of this unique Barrett-Jackson Edition Shelby Raptor R will directly support our mission to conserve Africa's biodiversity for the benefit of people and wildlife. Such partnerships are essential for the rehabilitation and long-term management of protected areas, ensuring that these vital ecosystems continue to thrive for generations to come.”

The Shelby sale continues Barrett-Jackson's long-term commitment to supporting non-profits

“Barrett-Jackson's incredible platform has enabled non-profit organizations to increase awareness and raise much needed funds for charity,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Having helped create the 2008 Barrett-Jackson edition Shelby GT program, I'm very excited to auction this collectible Shelby. The sale of the spectacular truck will fund automotive technology education and also safeguard our precious wildlife areas. It's an honor for us to support these incredibly important causes.”
