Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI:PK), made history today at the Michigan Woodward Dream Cruise when it unveiled the limited-edition Shelby GT500 CODE RED with a twin turbocharged V8 pumping out up to 1,300 horsepower. For the first time in its history, the company turned an experimental car into a limited edition vehicle. In addition to the replacement of the factory supercharger with a twin turbo setup, each hand-built CODE RED Shelby GT500 will receive suspension, braking, cooling and aesthetic upgrades.

Shelby American has just announced its big bad 2021 Shelby Super Snake Trucks, available in two and four-door configurations. These muscle-bound haulers offer all-wheel drive and a supercharged V8 that can devour many high-end GT cars.

The diverse, limited-edition models range from the Shelby GT and Shelby GT500SE to the mighty Shelby Super Snake with new “Speedster” option. Only 98 of each model will be built this year to celebrate the 98^th anniversary of founder Carroll Shelby’s birth. The trio, along with the 2021 Ford Shelby Super Baja F-250, were unveiled to a small, private group at the Taste of Motorsports Experience in Arizona; they will be on display all weekend until a formal public introduction at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale from March 20-26, 2021.
